Population changes by race, age, sex and level of affluence

Population in Colombia between 2005 and 2020 shows differents statistics that let us see the changes of population by sex, age and race.

 

The main fact has been that the women have a major percentage of population. For 2020 the ministry of social protections did a forecast where said that the percentage of women will be 50.62%. On the other hand, according to the ministry of social protection: "Durante las dos últimas décadas la población menor de 15 años pasó de representar 38% a 31% dentro del total, mientras la proporción de adultos jóvenes (15-29 años) transitó de 29.8% a 26.3%. De manera contraria, la población entre 30 y 64 años aumentó del 29.2% a 36.4%, y la mayor de 65 años pasó del 4.5% a 6.3%. Estas tendencias continuarán profundizándose en el futuro, haciendo más ancha la pirámide poblacional para las edades adultas."

 

In conclusion, It was observed that the population is going to decreas with tha passage of time.
