CHILDBEARING RATES:

This variable gives the average number of children that would be born per woman if all the women lived until the end of their fertile years and gave birth according to the average fertility rate for each age.

The graphs show that over the years there is a downward trend in the number of children that each woman could have, this is due mainly to changes in the bodies of women and the low interest of having children today. The measure of fertility in Colombia, although it has been declining, has managed to maintain above 2, which is good because although it affirms a decline in the young population, it remains at a positive and not alarming average. In continents like Europe the trend is in approximately 1.5 which means a great fall of its young population and of its population in general.

In conclusion, it can be said that Colombia has been able to maintain a good average in childbearing rates, which keeps the youth population active and does not represent a worrying alarm for low population or for excess population which can also represent a risk for sustainability of families.
